Canberra JETAA Inc E-mail for week ending 18 September 2009

This Monday’s JETAA trivia night was a great success. From what I saw, everyone enjoyed themselves and with a three-way tie for first there really wasn’t anything in it. Thank you to the Trivia sub committee for running the event and thank you to everyone attended.

JETAA also raised nearly $200 of the JETAA International Charity Room to Read.

Candle Festival 2009

The Canberra Nara Candle Festival will take place on Saturday, 26 September 2009 from 3pm to 9pm in the Canberra Nara Park.

JETAA will participate for the fifth consecutive year, and like in previous years, will run a gyoza and beer stall.

We are looking for a group of eager volunteers to assist with pre-event preparations (ordering) and on-the-day preparations (such as cooking, selling, setting-up and packing-up). If you are able to help in any way, we would love to have you on board.

For more information please contact Christie at:

Thank you.

Funding to promote JET

CLAIR has advised that they have some additional funding to support any projects to promote the JET Programme to try to encourage more people to apply to participate in JET.

The Committee is already working closely with CLAIR on this project, but new ideas are always welcome.

If you have any great ideas to encourage more people to apply for JET please contact Murray at:
